Why I StayFIT

I have NEVER worked out at a gym before and wasn’t sure what to expect. The trainers are awesome (I especially connected with Nicole). At the get-go they wanted to know what MY goals were for my fitness and wrote up a personalized training program just for me. I have had several injuries over the years and they were always concerned with my wellbeing and were always available to help me “tweek” my workout to avoid further injury. They were always encouraging and never made me feel as though I was not co-ordinated and were always nearby to answer any questions. In 1 month I gained 4 pounds of muscle mass. I would highly recommend Stayfit to anyone I know. Very friendly, very personalized and very professional.

I hired a trainer because I believe in the power of coaching and having a mentor to teach me how to get the most out of my workouts and nutrition.  I do not have unlimited time to spend working out and I want to be as productive as possible when I go to the gym.  As a CPA, I am also a business coach to my clients and I have witnessed over and over the value a coach or consultant can bring to business owners.  Far too often, I think people focus so much on the cost of the coach without realizing the value and the results that can be achieved much faster with the right help.  The value a good coach can bring far outweighs the cost.
We have all heard the Einstein quote:  “Insanity is thinking that doing the same thing over and over again will produce different results.”  I think the same philosophy applies to whatever we want to accomplish in our lives.  I needed to change what I was doing about my health and hiring a trainer was that first step.  Without a professional like Breann to assist and guide me, I don’t really know if I am doing all that I can to achieve my fitness goals.

•  I feel like my membership is personalized (a place where everyone knows my name)
•  My workout program is VERY personalized to my specific needs, not the standard routine plan
•  I have reached many goals that I would have never achieved at a larger, chain type of gym
•  It is a clean, non intimidating atmosphere
•  I have access to not only personal trainers but professionals in the industry
•  In addition to group fitness classes, I am exposed to opportunities to train and participate in outside, organized events (again, wouldn’t happen at chain gym)
•  The training facility itself uses state of the art techniques and equipment
•  The training facility has:
• Onsite shower
• Massage therapist
• Functional Movement Screen
• Metabolic, Total Body, and Stretch/Yoga/Pilates

I work out to play hard and enjoy life! When I am fit I feel good, healthy and young. Also, it is important to me to be as healthy as I can for my family.

I started working at Stay Fit in the summer of 2008 after the loss of my husband. A life long athlete, I had let my workouts and health go during my husband’s cancer battle. Stay Fit’s fitness coach reprogrammed me to think about fitness and diet in ways I had never known. Over a two year period, I lost 30 pounds, lost inches, regained muscle tone and have more energy than I have in the past 3 years. I know for a fact, that I would not have made it through the last 3 years without their support, knowledge and encouragement. I stay fit to maintain my athletic quality of life.

Exercise is exercising our ability to be in space. Honoring our bodies and the capacity to move and challenge ourselves. Fitness is therapy. It fuels my being and makes me feel stronger in every way. – Chelsea Britton

Keeping fit is my health insurance for aging. I don’t care if I age, mind you, I just want to maintain my health while I do it. According to most experts, exercise is the one best thing a person can do to avoid/postpone age-related issues such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, osteoporosis, lack of balance, deteriorating brain health, and more. At age 64, I don’t care if I look fit anymore; I just like knowing that I am fit.
